How does it Works ?
What is Invisalign, and How Does It Work ?
At Xdentistry in Johannesburg, we’re proud to offer Invisalign—a modern orthodontic solution that uses clear, removable aligners to gently and effectively straighten teeth. Here’s how the process works:
1. Consultation and Treatment Plan
Your Invisalign journey starts with a consultation. We’ll assess your teeth, understand your goals, and confirm if Invisalign is the right choice for you.
2. Digital Impressions or 3D Scanning
Forget the messy molds! We use advanced 3D scanning technology to capture a precise image of your teeth, which helps us create a customised treatment plan tailored to your smile.
3. Custom Aligners
Using cutting-edge technology, we design a series of clear, plastic aligners specifically for your teeth. These aligners work step by step to gradually shift your teeth into the desired position.
4. Wearing the Aligners
Each aligner is worn for 1–2 weeks before switching to the next set in the series. For best results, wear your aligners for 20–22 hours per day, removing them only for eating, drinking (except water), brushing, and flossing.
5. Regular Check-Ups
We’ll schedule regular check-ups to monitor your progress and provide you with the next sets of aligners, ensuring your treatment stays on track.
6. Treatment Completion
Once all aligners have been worn, your Invisalign treatment is complete! Some patients may require a retainer or refinement aligners to maintain their beautiful new smile.
Why Choose Invisalign at Xdentistry ?
- Virtually Invisible: The clear aligners are discreet, making them a great alternative to traditional braces.
- Removable: You can eat, drink, and maintain your oral hygiene routine with ease.
- Comfortable: Made from smooth materials, aligners are less likely to cause irritation.
Your commitment is key! Wearing your aligners as directed ensures the best results within the estimated timeframe.
